Ways to Help the New Idria Preservation Project

Thank you for taking a moment to help us with this project. Please mail the following letters to the San Benito County Tax Collector and the Board of Supervisors. Please print the letter and mail it, and also send the email.

3. Next please ask your friends to help - click here to send this Sample Email.

4. If you visit the Idria area regularly, then please make copies of our flyers to post at New Idria so other folks can learn about our project. The flyers need to be replaced often because somebody keeps taking them down. Also hand out flyers to folks you meet out there and at Mexican Flat.

5. Have signs made and erect the signs where people will see them. Contact your local sign company.

6. Ask other websites to post links to http://www.new-idria.org.

7. Post messages on Internet forums you visits. Invite friends to get involved and help.

8. Circulate flyers in your neighborhood.

9. Call Radio Talk shows and mention New Idria. They can find us with Google or Yahoo.

10. Run our advertisement in your local papers. Ask them to run it for free (many will because we are a nonprofit) or offer to pay for it.

11. Ask your local paper to run a story on Idria.

12. Arrange for us to do an Idria Presentation for your local group.

13. Ask your employer to become a corporate sponsor and co-workers to help.

14. Help us find more corporate sponsors. Go on the Internet, find who the company bosses are and telephone them - ask them to help.
