We recently posted a public health warning on this website. This occurred because we were lead to believe that the yellow "Public Health Warnings" recently posted on the New Idria property were the result of an official government agency warning. We since discovered this was a hoax posted by local residents attempting to scare visitors from the property.
These locals want this property as their private playground. They hope to obtain the Idria property at public auction, close the road and kick you off.
However, this property should be a public resource because $400,000 in public funds were recently spent on Idria cleanup and investigations.
